Our body’s first line of defence has a lot to contend with in winter, from cool outdoor temperatures, warm indoor heating, biting winds and the low hanging winter sun, all working together to strip our skin of its natural moisture.

To protect and nourish the skin from the inside out, try this recipe for a super skin care tonic for an instant immunity boost and skin glow. The goods

Carrots

Carrots are amazing for healthy and vibrant skin, full of beta-carotene that converts to vitamin A in the body, helping repair skin tissue1.

Oranges

The vitamin C and citric acid found in a juicy orange help stimulate collagen production, great for slowing skin ageing and improving the skin’s integrity2.

Ginger

Full to the brim with antioxidants, blitzing ginger into your skin care tonic reduces the effects of damaging free-radicals3.

Turmeric

The skin care spice, turmeric has oh-so-many skin loving benefits from helping form a natural healthy glow to reducing acne and inflammation with its antibacterial properties.

Pumpkin seeds

The high levels of zinc in pumpkin seeds place them in the skin care superfood category, protecting skin cells and promoting healthy skin renewal.
